What is an Ultra Sonic Image Cutter?

We have the ability to make your flooring designs a reality! Our digital drawing program will transfer your designs or pictures into a flooring puzzle — ready to be installed. You are limited only by your imagination. This is done with an Ultra Sonic Image Cutter, a computerized super sonic cutting machine that can cut most carpet & vinyl products into any two dimensional shape. Linoleum, sports flooring, resilient vinyl, solid vinyl — all are excellent materials for the Ultra Sonic Image Cutter process. Ultra Sonic cutting is a clean, clear and efficient process that cuts a wide selection of flooring products with absolute precision, without distorting materials while providing the cleanest and sharpest images available.

How does it work?

The customer submits a drawing, blueprint, picture, any camera-ready artwork or a digital file. The CAD portion of the Ultra Sonic Image Cutter loads the submitted image into it's system. The CAD system then converts the image into a code. The code is then transferred to the Image Cutting Head that plots and cuts the material from a floating bar that rotates over the cutting platform - in our case, that platform measures 12' by 20'. The CPU actually transfers the code providing the Image cutting head with the coordinates necessary to accurately and precisely plot and cut the material for even the most complex designs and artistic shapes needed. Every project is thoroughly inspected by our certified quality control team before it ever leaves the manufacturing facility. They review every cut to ensure that the customer's project is a complete success.

The Process:

• Conceptual Design: The drawing, blueprint, picture, any camera-ready artwork or digital file is received. Our Art and Design Department is available to customer's that require assistance with their artistic design concept or the actual artwork itself. Careful attention is given not only to design integrity and structural stability, but also to the total scope of the project including quality, cost and time restraints.
• Imaging and Manufacturing: The selected image is loaded into the CAD system and the CPU actually transfers the code providing the Image cutting head with the coordinates necessary to accurately and precisely plot and cut the material. The material is placed onto the cutting platform and is cut to specification.
• Pre-Assembly: Upon completion, our certified quality control team will review each cut design and/or pattern for fit and dimension as they actually assemble the project, ensuring a quality product prior to installation.
• Installation: As needed, project management is available to oversee the installation process to ensure absolute quality.
